2012 London Olympics – Female Athletes Awards (Male Awards TBD…)

After hours of deliberation, detailed observation, and the utilization of finite analytic scoring metrics, the 500 Section Olympic Committee has submitted their 2012 London Olympic Female Athlete Award winners!  The national breakdown of our medalists is detailed in the chart above.  Based on the scientific methods applied to these finalists, all very proud and honorable representatives of their nations aesthetic elite, the committee has also determined the following awards:

–  Best National Team

– – Gold Medal: Netherlands (Field Hockey)

– – Silver Medal: Norway (Handball)

– – Bronze Medal: Sweden (Handball)

– Best Event (Overall)

– – Gold Medal: Handball

– – Silver Medal: Track and Field

– – Bronze Medal: Field Hockey

– Overall Individual Performance

– – Gold Medal: Alex Morgan (USA – Football)

– – Silver Medal: Christina Vukicevic (Norway – Track and Field)

– – Bronze Medal: Melanie Adams (Australia – Track and Field)

– – Runner Ups: Romy Tarangul (Germany – Judo), Georgie Twigg (Great Britain – Field Hockey), and Josefine Öqvist (Sweden – Soccer).

** Some medals may have taken into account national status and the 500 Committee neither confirms nor denies its leaning towards American and northern European backgrounds (USA! USA! USA!)
